Annual Meeting of theNew England Shoulder and Elbow Society
Jointly Sponsored by the University of Connecticut School of Medicine Office of Continuing Education and New England Shoulder and Elbow Society, Inc.
Date: January 27-29, 2006 Time: 7 am – 10 am and 3 pm – 6 pm Location: Jay Peak Jay, Vermont
Target Audience: Physicians, surgeons, and other allied personnel with an interest in caring for and improving the injuries and problems with the shoulder and elbow.
Objectives: Participants will: 1) Be able to identify and diagnosis correctly the most common ailments encountered in the shoulder and elbow. 2) Be able to understand the basic treatment algorithms for basic shoulder and elbow ailments – both operative and non-operative. 3) Understand the most recent technological advances and their applicability to basic shoulder and elbow surgery and care.
Accreditation: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and the New England Shoulder and Elbow Society, Inc. The University of Connecticut School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians and takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific integrity of this CME activity.
The University of Connecticut School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 14 category 1 credit(s) towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Conflict of Interest Policy: All faculty participating in Continuing Medical Education activities sponsored by the University of Connecticut School of Medicine are required to disclose to the program audience any real or apparent conflict of interest related to the content of their presentations. All speakers have completed conflict of interest statements. These are listed in the handouts provided at the beginning of the course on Jan. 27, 2006. Actual forms are also available on request from the activity director.
Safeguards: The NESES Board members have individually spoken with each speaker and reviewed the presentations to ensure that no commercial bias was present.
